A true aspirant is not content with the knowledge of spiritual realities based on hearsay... he insists on the direct knowledge.

Anything beyond your capacity will necessarily change your capacity, because so long as everything is within your limits, you don’t know what is beyond them. And everything concerning God and God-realisation is beyond limit. So in this way great suffering and being plagued with terrible problems are beneficial.

Everything exists only because it has a purpose. The moment that purpose has been accomplished, everything disappears and Existence is manifested as self-existing Self.

Purpose presumes a direction and since Existence, being everything and everywhere, cannot have any direction, directions must always be in nothing and lead nowhere.

Hence to have a purpose is to create a false goal. Love alone is devoid of all purpose and a spark of Divine Love sets fire to all purposes.

The Goal of Life in Creation is to arrive at purposelessness, which is the state of Reality.

If drugs could make one realise God, then God is not worthy of being God. No Drugs! Many people in India smoke hashish and ganja, they colours and forms and lights and it makes them elated. But this elevation is only temporary, it is a false experience of illusion, and serves to take one further away from reality.

It does not require a large eye to see a large mountain. The reason is that, though the eye is small, the soul which sees through it is greater and vaster than all the things which it perceives. In fact, it is so great that it includes all objects, however large or numerous, within itself. For it is not so much that you are within the cosmos as that the cosmos is within you.

Just a glance from me can give you all you need — can turn your vision inward. You will be sitting here without any outward change, but you will become `what you really are.´ You have to wait for that moment. That moment is near, and for that you have to love me wholeheartedly, otherwise you will miss it. If I knock at your door and you are asleep, I will go away. In Avataric periods, one does not necessarily have to make the inward journey by stages. If you have the Grace of the Avatar, He just takes you from where you are to where you should be, where God wants you to be.

Love is essentially self-communicative: those who do not have it catch it from those who have it. No amount of rites, rituals, ceremonies, worship, meditation, penance and remembrance can produce love in themselves. None of these is necessarily a sign of love. On the contrary, those who sigh loudly and weep and wail have yet to experience love. Love sets on fire the one who finds it. At the same time it seals his lips so that no smoke comes out.

Love has to spring spontaneously from within and it is no way amenable to any form of inner or outer force. Love and coercion can never go together, but though love cannot be forced on anyone, it can be awakened in him through love itself. Love is essentially self communicative. Those who do not have it catch it from those who have it. True love is unconquerable and irresistible and it goes on gathering power and spreading itself until eventually it transforms everyone whom it touches.

Merely to say ‘I want to see God’ or ‘I want to realize God’ is similar to an ant saying ‘I want to become an elephant!’ Mere words have nothing in them. The heart must thirst to seek God.

My work is different. It is not my work to travel continuously and hold darshan programs simply to allow people to bow down at my feet. It is not my work to give long discourses, to perform miracles, or to attract crowds to me. I do not come for this. I come for all; I come to awaken all!

One has to go beyond the mind to experience the spiritual bliss of desirelessness.

The universe is the outcome of imagination. Then why try to acquire knowledge of the imaginative universe instead of plumbing the depths of your real Self?
