If you choose to view yourself and your soul within the realm of Universal consciousness, you will become aware of the role you play in the spiritual process and your ability to affect another soul's growth and potential. This is a time when you might understand some truth others miss, and if you are willing to give unselfishly, you can be a beacon for those who are blind. Situations may be subtle or blatant, commitments passing or definitive. In less obvious interchanges, compassion is increased, and you naturally want to help others. You become the Good Samaritan giving your time and energy to those in need whether family, neighbors or friends. In blatant interchanges, mere is a definite request followed by a firm commitment to a cause, task or individual. You know what you are getting into. Some will chose to help many; others, only one particular person. As a rule, the process of assisting others comes easily and naturally when there is an awareness of a principle higher than one's own ego. During these times of giving, you will be encouraged to grow spiritually. Tasks usually exceed previous understanding and capabilities, and you must rise to the occasion through further enlightenment.

Certain cautions are necessary. Be sure the person or people you assist respond to your help in one way or another. Either their condition should improve, or they should learn new patterns of behavior, possibly responding with love and kindness towards you or someone else. It is not essential that you personally receive a return. This placement is associated with selflessness and what you are doing may specifically require an unselfish act of love. However, don't repeatedly waste your energy when there is no improvement at all. There are exceptions to this rule. Certain conditions are degenerative by their very nature, and do not lend themselves to improvement. For example, you may be caring for a person with a debilitating or progressive illness.

They can never be too sure exactly how much money will be earned. This is a common occurrence for these professionals, but there may be reasons for even more variation than usual at this time. One might be opening a new shop or pushing a new product, and a degree of uncertainty surrounds the hoped for yet unproven success. For those who are on a fixed salary, this placement may appear more threatening. Supposedly, you already earn a specified amount. If this is your situation, a number of possibilities exist. Rumors of layoffs, pay cuts or salary increases will make the exact amount of your earnings appear uncertain. Pay cuts may never materialize, while promised raises can be put off indefinitely. The appreciation of inner beauty increases over anything of external value. Personal satisfaction and a sense of fulfillment are now more meaningful, or at least they should be. But sometimes structures are more limiting than helpful, and need to be broken down so new realizations can arise. If we continue to pattern information in the same way, we will never realize totally new forms of organization. The thought pattern associated with Neptune is very unstructured, general rather than specific, and for periods of time resembles no pattern at all. There are no lasting mundane criteria by which to assess individual pieces of information. The emphasis is more on the big picture and a total reorganization from me established structure. On the other hand, if you and your live-ins are happy with your employment situations, you could decide to look for a new residence in the area. Since there is no pressure to move immediately, you can look, but still feel unsure as to when or even whether you will move. House construction can be delayed indefinitely if you plan to build. Spiritual concepts of unity among all human beings can soften the way you express yourself. A gentler involvement with the world is warranted at this time. As with all Neptune placements, higher principles are seeking a practical application in the real world. An increased sensitivity to specific situations, and uncertainty or confu¬sion associated with actions or thoughts, tend to signal this infusion. While Neptune is in the solar return 5th house, spiritual concepts which are already understood need to find a mode of expression. Principles of Universal love can be expanded upon through compas¬sionate interactions with lovers, children and others. Working with creative and artistic projects can also heighten your awareness. What is needed is an evolution in self-expression towards a more spiritual and insightful manifestation. Inconsistencies between the self and the Higher Self must be eliminated. You cannot believe one thing spiri¬tually, yet express something else to others. The self (external expres¬sion) must be one with the Higher Self (spiritual ideal).

As you gentle your approach to the world, you may not be sure what you wish to express or represent. Tentative self-expression is common during the transition period. Sometimes external changes in the social milieu trigger the shift, but often gentleness is brought on by an increased awareness of the way you interact. Careful consideration is warranted. How are you perceived by others? Do you reflect your spiritual beliefs? Do you allow your true self to come through, or do you hide behind a persona? Usually there is an overlapping period when you are not physically through with your former job even though you are mentally finished. Mentally, you are now involved with your new position even though the physical transition has not yet begun or been completed. So you are just marking time, picking up a pay check, or existing in limbo until everything is set for the transition to be accomplished. It is unlikely that this will occur until the end of the solar return year, or until Neptune transits out of the 6th house, unless your new position is as probationary or "iffy" as the transitional period itself. Becoming self-employed generally falls in this category. A need for job fulfillment pushes you to find a more suitable position. The job you are leaving might fall short of your abilities. You may not feel as helpful or as effective as you could be if given more opportunity. Misunderstand¬ings between you and your employer are possible. Assuming you are happy with your present employment situa¬tion, this can be a time of job confusion or uncertainty. The health provider may be baffled by the symptoms and recommend several different courses of treatment. He or she may not be sure exactly what will work. SR Neptune in the SR 7th House

Relationships tend to lack definition and certainty during the year that Neptune is in the 7th house. There is a vagueness about involvements which manifests in a variety of ways. This is generally not the time to expect firm commitments. Relationships, whether good or bad, tend to seek their own level of involvement and are not subject to categorization. It is unlikely mat you will get married during the year, though you might discuss the possibility. The tendency, though, is toward all talk and no action. Strong placements in the 5th house, aspecting Neptune in the 7th, tend to indicate that an involvement is more closely akin to an affair than an established partnership. Perhaps you are not quite sure where the relationship is headed. This can be true even though you have been together for a number of years. Your partner may be contemplating career or personal changes which will affect you either directly or indirectly. The most notable mundane manifestation associated with this Neptune placement is confusion or uncertainty surrounding resources and finances you share with another person. A variety of situations can arise. Your partner or roommate may be laid-off, unemployed or too sick to work. If he or she has a steady income, other circumstances including wage freezes, delayed promotions, or salary negotiations might make the future income unclear. The danger with this placement is a tendency to be misguided. Because there is a movement from external standards (religion) to an internal realization (enlightenment), confusion and uncertainty may accompany the transition. You can be off track for a period of time and find it difficult to cope with philosophical and practical decisions. Mundane events and issues can test your new and old beliefs, pushing you towards further definition and understanding. Do not put your faith in a belief system which is totally unrealistic or impractical. However, if you have captured the spirit of the principle within your understanding and know that it conforms to the Universal need for goodness; do not be alarmed by your inability to translate these insights into words. True understanding is, many times, beyond words. At the same time, principles and experi¬ences which come through true enlightenment cannot be passed on to others who have not had the experience. Common ground for understanding will not exist. Grow to trust the inner process.

Others might be intolerant of your beliefs, or you of theirs. You must deal with your own misconceptions or with those of others. Occasionally you come in contact with fanatical beliefs, and in extreme cases victimization can occur. Harassment because of racial differences, sexual orientation, or ethnic and religious prejudice can occur. In extreme cases, the harassment leads to legal problems. Legal questions are likely to remain undecided for much of the year. If you are involved with foreigners, or if you are a foreigner in another land, cultural differences may lead to difficulties or intolerance. Misunderstandings are possible, especially if you do not understand each other's customs.

You may be thinking of attending school. If so, your course of study might be undecided. Perhaps the exact curriculum you need does not exist as a standard major, so you mix and match. You may be attending school only on a trial or probationary basis since you lack a clear understanding of your motives and goals. This is a time when you can develop a spiritual bond with others. You grow more sensitive to the needs and fears of friends and can respond in a way which is both helpful and insightful. Even if certain friends are mere acquaintances now, intuitive bonds can be formed with those who are equal to this kind of exchange. Relationships transcend self-centered needs and become manifestations of a spiritual connection. It is the inner qualities which make a true friendship. Compassion and empathy play a major role in your involvements. Those you are closest to could need your assistance. Use this year to develop a deeper understanding of what it means to be a friend. Master the art of giving as well as receiving. The purpose of this placement is to discover who your friends really are. There is a question here of who is right. Learn to trust your own instincts and Higher Self, while suspending judgment for the time being. Those who refuse to accept the truth they see, and consistently push for more proof, suffer great inner tension from suppressed information. Eventually, severe anxiety and even neurosis can ensue. True insight is used to develop understanding and compassion for others and is never used as an invasion of privacy.
